Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Detected in California

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV) is a highly contagious and fatal calicivirus.

This deadly virus affects both pet and wild rabbits
Dr. Rosner and Dr. Tiffany Newman are recommending the Rabbit RHDV2 vaccine to all indoor and outdoor bunnies, as the disease has now entered California.

There really are no symptoms of disease, only sudden death. The first year they need two booster vaccines 21 days apart. Then at the veterinarian's discretion one dose every 6-12 months.

Call our office if you are interested in the vaccine.
